Amar Hamad, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.H.O.
Dr. Hamad holds the position of President at CIHS, and is also an  Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Illinois, Chicago; the Chief of Oncology at Christ Hospital (Chicago, IL); Physician Group President and Senior Partner; and a Pharmaceutical Board Member.

 

 

Bruce J. Frederick, R.N., M.N., C.H.E.
As Chief Operating Officer of CIHS, Dr. Frederick brings 38 years of healthcare management experience to the organization. He also holds the following positions: Chief Nursing Executive (hospital and ambulatory clinic); Chief Nursing Executive in the Middle East; Chief Executive Officer (tasked with oversight of design, building, staffing, opening, and operation of new facilities); and is a Joint Commission International Consultant.


Bashar Hamad, M.D., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.H.O.
Dr. Bashar Hamad, an Associate Professor at Northwestern University, specializes in Public Relations & Credentialing for CIHS. He has spent years in the dedicated study of Hepatology and Liver Transplant Research, and has been a featured speaker on behalf of pharmaceutical companies.

 

Khaled Albasha, M.D., F.A.C.C.
Dr. Albasha has been a practicing Cardiologist in multiple subspecialties for over 26 years. He currently operates an Interventional Cardiology practice with CIGNA HealthCare of Arizona, Phoenix, AZ.

 

 

Erika J. Ugianskis, M.D.
Dr. Ugianskis, presently the Founder and Medical Director of the Center for Modern Vein & Skin Care in Chicago, IL, brings eight years of experience as a practicing Interventional Radiologist to CIHS. Dr. Ugianskis also holds the role of Interventional Radiologist and Director of Vein Clinic Radiology Imaging Consultants, Inc. at Advocate Christ Medical Center, Oak Lawn, IL.

 

Patience Barlend, R.N.
Ms. Barlend has been a registered nurse for eight (8) years, having graduated Nursing School in 2000.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing, and presently is a Nursing Manager at Silvercross Hospital, Joliet, IL. Ms. Barlend supports CIHS projects through recruiting nurses and physicians, and leads management and administration initiative for the Nursing School components of our operations.
